1872 Cup - Murrayfield

The first leg of the 1872 Cup at Firhill stadium was great fun (for Glasgow fans…) and there were a few Old Boys in attendance including; Scott Allan (79), Allan Thomson (95), Jim MacFarlane (88) and Fergus Allan (77).

In spite of some bleak weather on the east coast on Saturday, David Dailly (98) and Allan Thomson (95) made the trip from Glasgow to Murrayfield stadium Edinburgh to catch the second leg of the 1872 cup.   They were rewarded for their efforts with Glasgow winning the second leg (Edinburgh 15 v Glasgow 22).  Glasgow were presented with the cup at the end of the match and a large contingent of Warriors supporters remained in the cold to see the cup presented.  The Warriors are now top of the league.

The next Warriors game is on Friday 15th January at 7:30pm.  As usual we will meet at the Aitken Lounge an hour before kick off.
